The Foothills Native mix is made up with grasses that are adapted to medium textured soils, as well as, some of the shallower soils found in the transitional area between the grasslands of the plains and the forest of the mountains along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. The Foothills Mix is used for conservation, restoration, cover, forage, wildlife, and for homeowner lots in the foothills area. Elevation ranges from 5,000 to 7,000 feet and the average annual precipitation is 8 to 20 inches. |

| The Dry Native Mountain Mix is adapted to dry mountain conditions and useful for restoration, forage and wildlife. It is also adapted for reclamation of roads, trails, pipelines and home-sites. The sites are generally shallow soils, low precipitation and often south facing slopes. The elevation ranges from 7,000 to over 9,000 feet. The average annual precipitation is 8 to 16 inches and most of the moisture falls as snow in the winter. Much of the area is grass and shrubs with valley bottoms, aspen and cottonwood. |
